Just a little reminder that I would really like to get all the response cards back by September 1.  If you need more time but are seriously considering coming please let me know!

Justin would really thank you if you send the cards back (read:  he has to live with a bride-to-be that has anxiety due to lack of response)

More Lodging info...

Option 1:  If you would like to stay at the Flamingo with us scroll down a few posts and there is a discount code for your rooms and a phone number to call.  Please book your room as soon as possible because room rates are getting higher as time goes on...

Option 2: Super 8 at Ellis Island: This is a casino and hotel directly behind Bally's and a very short walk to the Flamingo.  This has been the coolest place we have found off the strip yet.  The casino is a brewery and offers (big) $1  drafts all day and the beer is actually good!  They also have $2 tables.  It isn't fancy but we had a ton of fun hanging out there.  I have no idea how the rooms are but how long are you really going to be in the hotel room, right ;)  The link of the right of the page will put you at the correct one you want to book (located on Koval Lane).  Currently the rooms are $115 on Friday and Saturday nights of  the wedding weekend.

Let us know where you are planning to stay so we know where people are at...  email me at annalotte@aol.com or write it on the response card.

We can't wait to see all of you in Vegas!

The plan for Saturday...

The wedding starts at 5pm at the Gazebo chapel at the flamingo.  This is outside in their gardens/wildlife area.  The wedding should be short and sweet!  After the ceremony we will be having a reception inside the casino.  We have a private banquet room that will open at 5:30pm so everyone can get drinks and snacks while we take pictures.  I don't remember the name of the banquet room that we are in but will let you know the day of.
We are having lots of yummy food with two vegetarian entrees, a chicken and a fish entree.  The bar will be open so drink up... Bring an empty belly and come thirsty, there will be lots to eat and drink!  The reception will be ending around 9:30 pm.
For those of you that want to continue to celebrate with us after the reception we are planning on going to the Carnival Court.  This is a outside bar/music/gambling place that is a short walk from the Flamingo and has no cover charge.  For music it is either a cover band or DJ but I don't care as long as our friends are with us.  This was the best option because it had no cover charge and we will actually be able to hear each other talking.
I hope you are as excited as we are because it will be really fun and the people that are coming is what will make it the most fun!

Lodging in Vegas

Hopefully you have received our save the date magnets or got the blog address by word of mouth. I have a discount code for you to use when you book your room in Vegas. We hope you can stay with us at the Flamingo but understand this isn't in everyone's budget. We drove around just off the strip and there are many hotels that are a few blocks off the strip and maybe more affordable.

The discount code is good for all Harrah's properties in Las Vegas and that includes the Flamingo, Caesars Palace, Paris, Imperial Palace, Harrah's, Rio and Bally's.

The discount code is QFWED8 and you can call 1-800-264-0744 to book a room.

If you have any questions about lodging please call one of us and we will help you out!

HOW WE MET...

Just for fun, if you didn't know (from Becky's side)
Justin and I knew of each other through working at Snowbird, UT but never had talked to each other. I remember meeting Justin at Area 51 on my 21st B-day via mutual friends but he remembers me from some other time. One day at the University of Utah (months later) we both happened to be getting coffee at the same place. Justin called out my name and I totally didn't recognize him or remember who he was. I wondered if I had a name tag on or something. After establishing who he was we started chatting about snowboarding which was coming up soon as it was October of 2001. Mid conversation Justin pulled out his phone and started messing with it, I thought he was about to make a call or be really rude or something but turns out he was typing in my name to get my number. The first time we got together was a couple of months later when we went snowboarding together at Snowbird. We had a great day riding together. I think Justin called me to go again because on that first day he suggested we build a jump over some rope and not wanting to look lame I went along with it, and managed to find the only rock under the snow with my butt. Ouch! Yeah, I didn't know how to jump with a snowboard but first impressions and all that stuff- I had to at least try. :)
Here we are a little over six years later gettin hitched. In these six years we have both finished college (at the same time!), learned how to paraglide together, traveled, moved into a house, somehow ended up with two dogs and decided that we want to hang out together till we are old and wrinkly. awww smoosh smoosh haha
